We started the day at Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. Some of the characters make their way around the restaurant. We were missed by some, but the kids still had fun. The characters do small performances and the kids get to participate, Zara was not to interested in participating but she would run up to watch. Zach was funny because he would make sure Zara was in the correct place to be seen. I think he had as much fun as she did. It was such a relief to see that she had gotten over her fear of characters, maybe we will get a good Santa picture this year. After breakfast, which was supper long because we were having so much fun, we headed over to California adventure.
As we walked into California Adventure the High School Musical concert was starting, couldn't have had better timing. Zara loved it and then we were off to the rope swing and the water ride that Zach talked me into. It was so much fun because Zara was able to ride all of the rides. She went on everything including the Tower of Terror. Her eyes were soooo big when the ride ended, I wish I had a picture of that. She was such a trooper. Zach and I rode the big roller coaster twice and then he took Zara on the swings. He started off telling me he was not a responsible person and couldn't take her according to the sign, he went anyway and had fun. we watched the Pixar parade there and rode so many rides. It was a perfect day. For dinner Lois had made reservations at Ariel's Grato.
Here Zara was able to have her picture taken with Ariel and then the rest of the princesses were introduced during dinner. They all take their time at each table and have conversations with the little princess and show them how to pose for their picture. Zara was in heaven, she got to meet all the princesses except Jasmin. Dinner was good too.
The next morning we woke up late with the time change, but we were off and running to Minne's place for breakfast. More characters made the rounds and both kids took pictures and had conversations, again we spent way to much time at breakfast but so worth every minute. We walked like crazy back and forth across Disneyland, Zara had her face painted, Zach did his thing, Lois celebrated her birthday, we laughed hysterically on the tea cups and reminisced about how Zach got his head stuck in the fence when he was 5, Zara rode Space Mountain and again her eyes were HUGE, but she loved it. We had the best day and were completely exhausted when we left. We ate dinner at the Rain forest Cafe in Downtown Disney and then came home. The kids were so tired I let them take the day of school on Monday. Oh I forgot the Disneyland Hotel was fun too. Decorated so very cute.
