once again my summer is coming to an end too quickly... so far we haven't done much of anything but redo zach's room, run around like crazy with out little miss acton, prepare for the upcoming little miss av pageant, begin the x-country season and most of prep for jeff's 40th birthday!! I can't believe we are that old already.. its crazy..we are embracing the last of his 30's with a big party filled with family and friends.. and a little mode of transportation show.. everybody is bringing their bikes, bronco, hot rods whatevers to show off!! It's a complete man thing, but it should amount to lots of fun and fabulous pictures to document the event. I am preping myself to have a senior on my hands.. I can't believe he is almost done and soon to be on his way. It all went by so fast. good thing i still have a few years left with zara..

catch up

it has been forever since i have blogged anything and so much has happened... we are almost done with another school year... zara turned 8... zach is almost a senior.. oh and zara is not the little miss acton queen .. in august she will run for little miss av... if she wins she will represent the entire antelope valley.. she wants that round crown because it is bigger then the one she has now and she never has to wear a tiara.. funny how she thinks..

The music program at Zara's school is run through donations. They have a fabulous music teacher that works very hard to put on two performances during the school year. The royal court donates their time to help sell 50/50 ticket and flowers to help raise money to keep the program running. This is one of their formal events so they all look gorgeous! Zara loves donating her time to the community..really its not just me saying it.. She has grown so much through this experience not only in height but in personality, and confidence. She is an amazing little girl that has so much to offer. I am truely blessed with her. even on the days she makes me crazy... she is my everything!

Zara is taking tap this year, with Miss Heather. She never lets me to watch because according to her I make her nervous. Today was watch day and she let me in.... camera and all.. She is a FABULOUS TAPPER !! I was so impressed.. all attitudy and everything.. so very cute, i can't wait for recital !!!

SNOW DAY !!

 
Instead of heading back to school today the kids slept in thanks to the beautiful snow that fell last night. Zara was up and dressed at the crack of dawn, ready to go out and conquer the snow. I had promised her a trip to the park to play.. they have grass not mud.So off we went, she rolled down the hills, had a small snow ball fight, made a snowman that came CRASHING DOWN and then built him back up. I think we were there for a couple of hours. She came om soaking wet and I was freezing for most of the day. But it was a perfect morning!!

We all had a great time. It was freezing the entire time we were there, not even the fire made us warm. The kids rode and rode and evaded frost bite..Thank goodness for the motor home..
We made it home just in time for it to start snowing at the house.. What a way to end a perfect weekend!
